Bashart

2021 Colt by NYQUIST, out of FULL STRIDE by MEDAGLIA D’ ORO

Bashart is a son of War Front, one of the hottest stallions in the world.  War Front is the sire of 40 stakes winners, with 12 G1 winners including Declaration of War, Lines of Battle, Due Diligence, Warning Flag, The Factor, Jack Milton, Data Link, Air Force Blue, War Command, Hit It a Bomb, Summer Soiree and Peace and War.

Bashart’s dam is the multiple stakes producer, Busy Windsong, by the good sire and broodmare sire Clever Trick.  Busy Windsong other foals include the stakes winner Squallcreek ($151,913) and G3-placed Catch The Wind, as well as Bashart.  Her 2014 colt by Uncle Mo sold for $300,000 at the 2015 Keeneland September Sale, and she had a colt by Malibu Moon before her death in 2015.

Bashart won the G2T With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga as a 2-year-old, as well as placing second in the G3T Bourbon Stakes at Keeneland.  At 3, Bashart was second in the G3T Kent Stakes and third in the G3T Commonwealth Turf Stakes.  He had 2 wins from 11 starts and $273,083.  As a Graded-winning son of War Front, he’s a very valuable stallion prospect.
